Hangover Style Cure

I hope you aren't here looking for a magic remedy to cure that miserable headache that comes hours after your last tequila shot. I have yet to uncover that. I do have some tips to help you look your best if you are feeling "under the weather" the morning after a late night out and need to leave the house (not to mention that fresh air does wonders for a hangover). These tricks will have you ready in under 10 minutes with minimal effort and maximum results.


Chances are, you forgot to wash your face last night. Right? Makeup remover cloths can be a life saver. I use them to quickly clean up any eye makeup that has smudged under my eyes.


Alcohol is a great dehydrator. Drinking water can help your body recover from the inside out but using a moisturizer on your face can help to quickly rejuvenate your healthy glow from the outside. Using a tinted moisturizer helps cover any redness from imperfections without needing to use a full foundation.
{Tip: Sometimes I find that my tinted moisturizer doesn't add as much moisture as my skin needs so I'll mix in a little bit of my regular moisturizer.}


I use a little bit of cream blush on my cheeks to add some color to my cheeks. NARS 'The Multiple' Stick is both quick and easy to apply. You can even use it on your lips for an added pop of color.
{Tip: Brush your teeth really well. A bright white smile goes a long way.}


I have yet to find a dry shampoo powder that I like. Aerosol versions give my hair an extra boost especially when I aim it at my roots. This TREsemme version is cheap, smells great, and does what I need it to.


I grab large chunks of my hair and loosely wrap them around my curling wand. I go around my head for a total of about 8 sections. The loose, messy curls work perfectly in day old hair. It literally takes me 2 minutes to complete my entire head (it helps if I wore curls the night before).
{Tip: Point the curling wand down. This may seem like a 'no brainer' but it wasn't so obvious to me.}


Again, I use an aerosol. I find that aerosol hairsprays are much lighter and more flexible than non-aerosol sprays. I lightly spray my loose curls to add a bit of definition.


The last thing I want to do is slip into a form fitted blouse when I am feeling yucky. A cute graphic tee is a great way to get away with dressing down. Tip: Stick with text and muted colors: white, black, grey, navy as opposed to bright colors and crazy images.



Maybe it is silly, but I always feel better when I am wearing designer brands. Resist the urge to wear yoga pants. Choose a more relaxed style and denim can be comfortable too.


Give your feet a break today. I go for a pair of bold flats to add color to my outfit.

your Forever 21 bag worked perfectly last night...but it isn't going to do the trick today. Grab your most fabulous handbag and get going. Tip: High quality leather is always in style. Invest in at least one quality leather bag.

11. Large Sunglasses

Don't forget to grab your sunglasses on your way out the door. Not only will they block out harsh sunlight that could leave you spinning but they will help to hide your tired eyes. Tip: Try polarized sunglasses. Seriously, you will never go back.

Bonus Tip: For quick headache relief, I take Excedrin Migrane. Caffeine, Acetaminophen, and Aspirin? Sounds like a winning combination to me and definitely the best 'medicine' that I have found for the most miserable of hangovers. Water and hot green tea help as well.


Of course, the best advice of all is to drink responsibly and never overindulge. Know your limits and alternate water between alcoholic beverages.
